Role and ResponsibilitieS
  1. Assist Veterinarians: Veterinary Technicians assist veterinarians in the diagnosis and treatment of animals.
  2. Animal Care: They provide basic care to animals, including feeding, bathing, and monitoring their overall health.
  3. Assist in Surgery: Technicians may assist during surgeries by preparing surgical instruments, monitoring anesthesia, and providing post-operative care.
  4. Laboratory Work: Conduct basic laboratory tests, such as blood tests and urinalysis, to assist in the diagnosis of diseases.
  5. Administer Medications: Administer medications as prescribed by veterinarians and educate pet owners on proper care.
  6. Radiography: Take and develop X-rays for diagnostic purposes.
  7. Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of animal histories, treatments, and vaccinations.
  8. Client Communication: Communicate with pet owners, providing information about animal care and treatment plans.

How to Become a Veterinary Technician?  

Step 1:  Complete Class 10th: Successfully complete your secondary education with a focus on science subjects, especially biology.

Step 2:  Enroll in a Diploma Program:After class 10th, you can enroll in a diploma program related to animal health or veterinary science. Look for institutions that offer programs in veterinary technology or animal health technology.

step 3:  Gain Practical Experience: During the diploma program, you will likely undergo practical training to gain hands-on experience in animal care, veterinary procedures, and laboratory work.
